About this Project:
The homeowner contacted us to design and build a basement bar and entertaining area for her new construction home. Our project designer first worked with the homeowner to plan a space that would accommodate a variety of appliances for easy entertaining – including beverage and wine refrigerators, an under counter dishwasher drawer and an under counter microwave – that looks great and is functional and consistent with the rest of the home. Along with plenty of counter space and seating in the island, we planned and worked with the homeowner to chose finishes that reflect her personal style: rich onyx-stained maple cabinets are topped with granite countertops, distinctive backspace to create a focal point, and under-cabinet lighting to brighten the space. The homeowner chose luxury vinyl tile flooring – softer and warmer than traditional tile – and an important consideration in a basement.
