This main floor update created a unique challenge for the homeowners from a usability perspective. The original layout was spread out with a hallway in the middle of the kitchen to access the mudroom. Our design team came up with a solution to move the powder room which proved to meet all the customer’s needs.
The rest of the design was completed to update the art deco styling of the home to make it feel more comfortable. This resulted in a four sided wrap around fireplace with a reclaimed mantel, Quartzite countertop, and a locker system to help the family stay organized. With light updates on all common spaces the rest of the home feels as though it was remodeled at the same time. With a light airy feel, this home is now inviting and functional with a quality that will hold up to this family’s busy lifestyle.
