About the Project
We were excited to get the call from this new, blended family who needed help converting his bachelor pad into their new family home. The existing kitchen with an awkward layout was at the end of its life and not suited for their new family unit. Momma has a great sense of style. Working with her clear vision for their new space we were able to design a kitchen that flows seamlessly into the dining room anchored by a nearly 16-foot-long island and dining room table. We continued the cabinetry and walnut butcher block countertop into the dining room giving them a window seat for extra storage, function, and beauty. We were able to save the wood floors in the dining room and tie them back into new wood floors throughout the kitchen. complimentary cabinet finishes and counters on the island and perimeter cabinetry help make the somewhat narrow space breathe. Floating shelves and counter to ceiling tile backsplash along with an adventurous but tasteful appliance package complete this kitchen where our new friends and their new family can meet and eat and grow together.
